Funds donated in support of West Valley Schools Foundation are used to fulfill grants for a variety of educational purposes. The projects listed below are examples of generous community support allowing our educators to go above and beyond!

WEST VALLEY SCHOOLS FOUNDATION

  • High School Visual Arts Displays for district-wide art show
  • Art program taught by local artists at Apple Valley Elementary
  • WVSD Summer Reading program; making library books and staff available to WV students throughout the Summer
  • Field trips to the Yakima Police Department, retirement homes, Seattle aquarium, McAllister Museum, and others
  • Supplemental software for special education/resource rooms
  • Speech/language therapy literature materials
  • Ozobots to introduce Middle School students to computer coding
  • Tablets for use in Middle School math classrooms
  • Books for elementary classroom libraries
  • Mock Trial competition for HS students
  • "Starbucks classroom" furniture, creating a more dynamic and real-world learning environment
  • Cubelets; robotic building blocks used in Middle School STEM classrooms
